Introducing Blake, a highly skilled security professional with over a decade of experience in the private security industry. Blake embodies a security culture mindset, focusing on creating environments where safety is prioritized and deeply ingrained in everyday operations.
As a firm believer in the need for verifiable competency, Blake sought and received the industry gold standard Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Certification from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) in August of 2023. As an active member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) and the World Institute of Nuclear Security (WINS) he keeps up-to-date with the current and emerging threat factors that every organization is presented with.
Blake's dedication to providing affordable and actionable solutions led him to co-found Overwatch Security Solutions, LLC. in January 2022, a venture committed to delivering quality security consulting services. Specializing in areas such as workplace violence prevention and intervention, threat and vulnerability assessment, and operational and physical security, Blake utilizes CPTED-informed approaches to create secure environments and safer workspaces for clients.
Blake has partnered with stakeholders from various entities to develop and deliver educational programs on vital topics such as workplace violence prevention and intervention, verbal de-escalation, active assailant response, personal safety and more. His educational initiatives have significantly contributed to creating a safer and more secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Moreover, Blake has devised and deployed several technology based systems to gather and analyze crucial security metrics, exerting a profound influence across Michigan.
In recognition of his commitment to the security industry, Blake has accepted the position of Vice Chairman for the ASIS Flint Chapter for 2024. This role will allow him to further his impact on the industry and continue his dedication to improving security practices.
